What is accreditation?
A way in which colleges in the US can choose to be reviewed by trained, qualified evaluators who also work in higher education. Accreditation reviews generally look at a college’s:
- compliance with basic, required criteria and
- mission fulfillment (“does it do what it says it does?”).
There are different levels and kinds of accrediting agencies.
