Tim Barber is co-owner of Counseling Alliance in Cincinnati, OH.

He served 22 years in pastoral ministry, and 13 years as Associate Professor in the Master of Arts in Counseling program at an accredited university.

Tim is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and also has advanced training in working with couples and trauma survivors.

He works with from a faith-based perspective to restore health, hope, and wholeness in lives and relationships.

Cheryl Comparativo completed a BA (Secondary English Education) and an MA (English and Comparative Literature), both from colleges accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

She teaches courses in literature, composition, and college preparedness, along with doing administrative work for an accredited college’s student-success center. These areas all mesh with her passion for teaching and mentoring college students.

A book lover, Cheryl enjoys reading widely across many different genres; a recent favorite read was Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell. She and her husband Chris enjoy traveling, playing volleyball, and trying new restaurants. They also have two much-loved dogs.

Jacinda Cravens

Jacinda Cravens

Jacinda Cravens is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Ohio. She received her degrees from two different accredited university in Cincinnati in 2010 and 2015.

Jacinda currently works as a therapist at the Counseling Alliance, Church on Fire Ministries, and a college counseling center. Prior to entering the field of counseling, Jacinda had a background in music, teaching, public relations, and children’s ministry. She chose to enter the field of counseling after being awakened to the needs of those she was working with in the classroom and in church ministry.

Jacinda possesses specialized training in Developmental and Relational Trauma. Her clinical work is mostly focused on teens, children, and young adults navigating through a variety of challenges.

Along with counseling, Jacinda enjoys working as the music minister at her home church, Newport Church of the Nazarene located in Newport, Kentucky.

Fred is part of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter and Ohio State Society of Enrolled Agents as well as the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

Over the years he’s been an accounting supervisor and a manager of personal tax services. He currently owns his own business providing tax preparation services for mid-to-high net worth individuals; and their trusts and estates.

Fred has earned undergraduate degrees in Economics, English and theology.

Gary Lee is a licensed professional counselor with the Counseling Alliance in Cincinnati, Ohio.

His practice focuses on individuals and couples suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions and posttraumatic stress.

Sharree Pouzar

Admissions & Financial Aid Coordinator

Sharree R. Pouzar graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college. As a student, she enjoyed serving on the student government from her sophomore year onward. She graduated salutatorian of her class in 2015.

She now remains as full-time staff serving as the Financial Aid Coordinator for the school.

Sharree loves living in the city and enjoys the various activities Cincinnati offers.

Aaron D. Profitt is a husband and father of three sons. He’s a college administrator and professor whose teaching is in literature, leadership and statistics.

Aaron earned his BA in English and Political Science, his MA (English) and his PhD (Educational Studies) from accredited state universities.

He’s a foodie who enjoys Cincinnati’s varied restaurant culture.

In addition to Aaron’s work at a regionally accredited college, he serves as an accreditation evaluator for the Association for Biblical Higher Education, an approved accrediting agency. He has presented or co-presented workshops on online education, Title IX, assessment and other educational topics.

Scott Schneider

Scott is a dedicated professional counselor who believes that everyone has what it takes to thrive. His goal is to provide an environment in which there is no judgment – only acceptance. He builds safe places where clients can realize the assets and strengths that are within them.

He has advanced training in pastoral counseling, sex/process addictions, substance/alcohol addictions, trauma (From childhood neglect and abuse, etc.), and relationship/couples counseling. In addition, he has over 20 years experience in creating and leading groups.

Scott just completed advanced training in sex addiction therapy and is now a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) Candidate.

Scott also leads workshops in church and business settings to develop leaders and to help people build stronger relationships.

His education includes a bachelor’s degree from a state university and a Masters in Counseling from a private university.

Kent Stetler

Kent Stetler is a fun loving guy from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a husband, brother, son, and friend. He works in various roles as a college admission’s coordinator.

Kent earned his BA (Church and Family Ministry – Youth Ministry & Counseling) from an accredited college.

Kent enjoys traveling, games, and sports, especially with his wife, Jananne.

Ryan Watters

Ryan Watters is a husband and father. He’s a college professor whose teaching is in psychology and the integration of theology and counseling.

Ryan earned his BA (Ministerial Education, Pastoral Counseling) and MA (Counseling) from regionally accredited colleges.

He’s a photographer, coffee roaster, and avid hiker. He was born and raised in Michigan and has an inordinate amount of state pride.

He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio and practices at the Counseling Alliance in Cincinnati. He is certified in Developmental and Relational Trauma (DART) and is currently training to become a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT).

Jason Weed is married and has three highly energized kiddos.

Since 1998, most of his career has been spent working for Christian non-profits, helping them communicate clearly to, and creating better experiences for, their customers in the digital space.

Jason earned his BS (Computer Science) and MSE (Software Engineering) from a regionally accredited state university. He’s also earned certificates in the fields of user experience, project management and information assurance.

In his off time, Jason enjoys playing disc golf, playing games and hiking outdoors with his family.

Lyle Witt

Lyle Witt

Assistant Professor; Division Chair

Having been born abroad and raised in different cultures, Lyle Witt has enjoyed spending much of his career supporting international students. After earning a M.A. in Education from a state university, Lyle taught international students in college prep programs at a community college and university before joining the faculty at a regionally accredited college, where he serves as a division chair and assistant professor.

When he can, Lyle spends time reading, gardening, and disc golfing. He also enjoys camping, hiking, and mountain biking. While not teaching, he finds it a refreshing change to work with his hands, building decks, repairing houses, and fixing things.

Lyle is blessed to be a husband, father of two sons and two daughters, and a follower of Christ.
